Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Specialist to support our day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate is an Accounting graduate with 1 to 2 years of experience in general accounting and government compliance. This role will assist in managing the company’s financial records, handling compliance requirements, processing payroll-related computations, and contributing to accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

General Accounting:

• Perform day-to-day accounting tasks including journal entries, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.

Compliance and Reporting:

• Assist in the timely preparation and filing of government-mandated tax returns and reports such as:
• VAT, Withholding Tax, and Income Tax (BIR)
• SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG contributions
• Help monitor regulatory deadlines and maintain proper compliance documentation.
• Coordinate with external auditors and consultants as needed.

Cash Flow Monitoring:

• Support the preparation of simple cash flow reports and forecasts.
• Help track daily cash inflows and outflows.

Payroll & Statutory Contributions:

• Support payroll-related computations, ensuring accuracy of employee deductions, taxes, and contributions.
• Assist with the remittance of SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and BIR obligations.
• Address payroll-related inquiries and help resolve any discrepancies.

Collaboration & Process Support:

• Coordinate with other departments for accurate expense and income tracking.
• Support process improvement initiatives within the finance team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or any related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in general accounting, government compliance, and financial reporting.
• Background in e-commerce, retail, or service industries is a plus.
