The Opportunity


Our client, a well-established group in the retail and distribution sector, is expanding its team and looking for a Buying Assistant based in Manila.


In this role, you will work closely with the merchandise team to support product management processes, maintain accurate product data across supplier networks, and assist in ensuring information flow between suppliers, marketing teams, and the broader member network.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about product and data management in a fast-paced environment.


You will be responsible for creating and updating product records in internal systems, coordinating product information with suppliers and marketing teams, maintaining reporting for the merchandise function, managing member queries on product-related matters, and supporting ongoing improvements to merchandise processes and systems. The role also requires strong collaboration with internal teams to maintain a high standard of service delivery across the network.


Skills, Experience & Qualifications


  • Relevant work experience in merchandise support, buying administration, or product coordination roles.
  • Knowledge and Understanding of Product (Codes, Manufacturer codes, Supersessions, Deletions, Hierarchies and Pricing)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, basic macros preferred).
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proactive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with Product Information Management (PIM) systems or similar platforms is an advantage.
  • Prior experience working in a membership or franchise-based business environment is desirable.
