Job Overview
The Email Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing email marketing campaigns that engage, nurture, and convert leads into customers. This role involves working closely with the marketing, design, and content teams to ensure that email campaigns align with the company’s goals and resonate with our target audience. The ideal candidate will be data-driven, creative, and possess strong knowledge of email marketing best practices, tools, and technologies.
Your Responsibilities
- Campaign Strategy & Execution: Design, build, and deploy email marketing campaigns that drive engagement and conversion across multiple stages of the customer journey, including lead nurturing, promotions, product updates, and retention.
- Email List Management: Manage and segment email lists to ensure targeted messaging and personalized outreach to different audience segments, improving open rates and click-through rates (CTR).
- A/B Testing & Optimization: Continuously test and optimize email subject lines, copy, design, and CTAs (calls-to-action) to maximize the effectiveness of each campaign. Analyze test results and implement insights to improve future emails.
- Automation & Workflows: Set up and maintain automated email workflows for lead nurturing, welcome series, re-engagement campaigns, and more using email marketing platforms such as Zoho, Mailchimp and HubSpot
- Analytics & Reporting: Track and report on key email performance metrics, including open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and unsubscribe rates. Use data to make recommendations for improving email marketing performance.
- Personalization & Segmentation: Implement personalized email content and dynamic segmentation strategies to ensure emails are relevant to the audience, improving engagement and ROI.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the content, design, and sales teams to ensure email content is aligned with business goals, campaign themes, and product launches.
- Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure all email campaigns adhere to email marketing regulations and best practices, including compliance with opt-in and unsubscribe procedures.
- Database Management: Help maintain and clean email contact databases to ensure accuracy and improve deliverability.
What Our Client Is Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in email marketing in a B2B or B2C environment.
- Proficiency in email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce Pardot, etc.).
- Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, including deliverability, segmentation, A/B testing, and campaign automation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling email copy and subject lines.
- Experience with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, platform-specific reporting tools) to measure campaign performance and adjust strategies.
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS for email design (preferred but not required).
- Knowledge of email marketing compliance and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on driving measurable results.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in B2C and B2B email marketing
- Experience with CRM systems (Zoho, Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and marketing automation tools.
- Familiarity with UX/UI design principles for email and landing pages.
- Experience in creating or managing transactional emails, newsletters, or lifecycle campaigns.
- Knowledge of data privacy laws and best practices in email marketing.
