Description
- Fabricate and install sheet metal components for HVAC systems, roofing, and ductwork.
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate dimensions.
- Utilize hand and power tools for cutting, bending, and assembling materials.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on existing installations.
- Collaborate with construction teams and project managers.
Requirements
- Job Title: Sheet Metal Worker
- Educational Qualifications: High/Senior High School diploma required.
- Experience Level: 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Skills and Competencies: Proficient in fabrication, operating rolling machines, using aviation snips, metal sheet cutters, and constructing metallic ductworks. Ability to read and understand technical drawings and layout designs.
- Responsibilities and Duties: Fabricate and install sheet metal products, ensure quality control, and maintain tools and equipment.
- Working Conditions: Typically works in manufacturing settings; may require lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
- Qualities and Traits: Detail-oriented, strong problem-solving skills, ability to work collaboratively, and good physical stamina.
