Description

  • Prepare the appropriate legal documents for borrowers, shareholders, and management.
  • Evaluate new business partnerships with vendors and subcontractors. Covering NDAs, commercial contracts, and review of regulatory frameworks.
  • Represent the company as Chief Legal Counsel.
  • Design and oversee the company’s policy and position on legal matters.
  • Protect the company against legal risks and violations.
  • Examine the legal issues related to new products, services, and jurisdictions.
  • Negotiate deals on behalf of the company.
  • Guide management on regulatory and compliance issues to ensure compliance with legal regulations.
  • Other ad hoc tasks that would be assigned

Requirements

  • Ideally from University of the Philippines or other top tier law school 7+ PQE - Post-Qualified Experience
  • Asia/Multi jurisdictional experience (has covered corporate finance and loan agreements across multiple countries)
  • Banking, Finance, Loan Documentation experience is a must.
  • Experience from both a law firm and bank/credit fund
  • Experience in FinTech start up or Financial Technology company is a plus
  • Understanding of MAS Funds Management regulations is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
  • Outstanding managerial and negotiation skills.
