Description
- Prepare the appropriate legal documents for borrowers, shareholders, and management.
- Evaluate new business partnerships with vendors and subcontractors. Covering NDAs, commercial contracts, and review of regulatory frameworks.
- Represent the company as Chief Legal Counsel.
- Design and oversee the company’s policy and position on legal matters.
- Protect the company against legal risks and violations.
- Examine the legal issues related to new products, services, and jurisdictions.
- Negotiate deals on behalf of the company.
- Guide management on regulatory and compliance issues to ensure compliance with legal regulations.
- Other ad hoc tasks that would be assigned
Requirements
- Ideally from University of the Philippines or other top tier law school 7+ PQE - Post-Qualified Experience
- Asia/Multi jurisdictional experience (has covered corporate finance and loan agreements across multiple countries)
- Banking, Finance, Loan Documentation experience is a must.
- Experience from both a law firm and bank/credit fund
- Experience in FinTech start up or Financial Technology company is a plus
- Understanding of MAS Funds Management regulations is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
- Outstanding managerial and negotiation skills.
