JOB SUMMARY:

The Assistant Manager for Cross-Car Line Marketing is In-charge of Variable Marketing Expense (VME) management, Retail campaign development and cross-car line marketing support for all products in the Nissan portfolio. The person is also responsible in pricing and promotions monitoring of dealers and competitors, leads monitoring and analysis and recommendation of tactical and strategic actions to support the retail objectives of the business.Responsible in managing, direction-setting and development of assigned subordinates within the Marketing organization.


JOB FUNCTION:

1. Variable Marketing Expense (VME) Management

  • Overall VME lead for budget, programs and car-line allocation
  • Quarterly lead for VME program proposal and approval
  • Consolidation and validation with internal business units (Sales, AS, Finance, Marketing) and at regional/global level


2. Retail Campaign Management

  • Lead in development of monthly and quarterly customer program development and network implementation
  • Periodic program effectiveness and review with internal business units and dealers
  • Cascade of monthly and ad-hoc programs to internal and external customers
  • Retail performance review, competitor bench marking and feedback gathering


3. Cross-Car Line Functional Support

  • Marketing lead for all cross-car line support and actions
  • Review and approval of ad-hoc and program requests
  • Internal coordination and validation of promo materials and communications


4. Competitor and Market Movement

  • Monthly retail promotions movement monitoring and review
  • Special promotions monitoring and review
  • Analysis and development of counter-actions


5. Retail Conversion Management

  • Retail conversion performance monitoring, analysis and management
  • National, regional and by product performance review and analysis


6. People Management

  • Responsible for guidance, training needs assessment and career development of subordinates
  • Ensure results and achievement of team deliverables


7. Other Functions

  • Retail partnership programs lead for 3rd party affiliates
  • Performance monitoring and analysis
  • Periodic dealer and competitor visits


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


Education and Certification

  • Preferably a Bachelor’s Degree in any Business-related course and/or Marketing


Experience

  • Minimum 3 year experience in Sales, Marketing and/or Promotions
  • Preferably with background and experience in automotive, related industry and/or FMCG


Skills and Competencies

  • Intermediate to Advanced level in MS Excel and MS Powerpoint
  • Communication Skills (Excellent in English - Business writing & Oral)
  • Analytical and Process-oriented
  • Knowledgeable in consumer promotions and activities
  • Strong passion for automobiles (optional)


Physical requirements

  • Preferably with valid driver’s license and driving skills
  • Open to local and international travel
  • Can work under varying degrees of pressure and time zones
