Description

  • A truck driver's job involves safely transporting goods and materials by operating commercial vehicles, adhering to traffic laws and regulations, and ensuring timely deliveries, while also performing tasks like loading, unloading, and maintaining the vehicle.

Requirements

  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL):
  • You'll need a Class A or B CDL, depending on the type of truck you'll be driving. 
  • Clean Driving Record:
  • A history of safe driving with no recent moving violations or accidents is crucial. 
  • Physical Exam:
  • You'll need to pass a physical exam to ensure you're physically capable of operating a commercial vehicle. 
  • Drug and Alcohol Testing:
  • You'll likely be required to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screenings, and may be subject to random testing. 
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent:
  • While not always mandatory, a high school diploma or GED is often preferred. 
  • Experience:
