Role Overview

● Support the client manager

● Manage day-to-day transactions across multiple clients

● Reconciliation of profit and loss and balance sheet

Key Responsibilities:

· Transaction Management

o Oversight of accounts payable function including:

o management of client bills/invoices in Dext and Xero

o bank reconciliation

o preparation of supplier batch payments

o reconciliation of supplier statements

o Taxable Payment Payments Annual Report

· Payroll and Payroll Related Compliance

o Preparation and processing of payroll and superannuation including:

o Managing Award compliance

o Ensuring Single Touch Payroll compliance

o Preparation of compliance requirements, including but not limited to:

o Payroll Tax

o Workers Compensation annual reporting

o Portable Long Service Leave

o Reconciliation of wages and superannuation accounts

· BAS Compliance

o Preparation of compliance requirements, including but not limited to:

o Business and Instalment Activity Statements

o Reconciliation of GST and PAYGW accounts

o ATO lodging preparation and assistance

· Other tasks

o Monthly review of accounts to ensure the following:

o All balance sheet accounts are reconciled

o Revenue and expense are correctly coded

o Project tracking is assigned

Qualifications and Accreditation:

  • Degree in Accounting, and / or Certified Public Accountant – Philippines

Experience and Skills:

  • Extensive experience and proficiency and certification in XERO accounting software
  • Australian GST, BAS/IAS experience (minimum 3 years)
  • Adept in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Minimum capabilities include: ○ Pivot tables ○ If statements ○ Look up
  • Strong knowledge of Australian tax laws and compliance requirements.

Accounting, Payroll Reporting:

Xero Accounting - requires an advanced/extensive proficiency of this tool

Dext - requires experience and proficiency of this tool

Key Pay - is an advantage

Fathom - is an advantage

Practice Management:

Karbon

Xero Practice Manager (XPM)

Ignition

Google Workspace

Slack

Job Type: Full-time


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
